These guys are probably even meaner then SA/CA cichlids too! I used him to cycle a tank. He was about 4" and I threw an 8" Serrasalmus Maculatus who was the meanest piranha Ive ever owned and he kicked that Ps ass! Not wanting to damage my serra I threw him into my pygo tank...didnt last there though!
They are very underrated because they are "natives" sadly. They only get about 6" so very practical to keep, are sexed easily and from what I hear can be bred pretty easily.
With the different variations of these guys from different locals, I wonder what a good breeder could come up with?!
