ever read the book?

The Misery movie was fairly accurate, but missing some of the more sadistic scenes. The leg break in the movie was not comparable to what actually happened in the book.

I also read 'Salem's Lot, but I haven't seen the movie for about 10 years.

Yeah,it took forever for the vampire to finally reveal himself but I liked how they made home look like Nosferatu.

Salem's lot was pretty close to the book, for as far as they could go, Carrie was close also if you never read it, kings first novel tho he had quite a few shorts done in mags that came out later in his many short works books. the green mile also a great novella serias by him, nice movie with tom hanks but read the 5 book shorts, waited along time for those to come out also.

Ya, I've also read a number of his shorts and novellas. The Shawshank Redemption and The Body (AKA Stand By Me) were both great; two of my favorite movies as well.

he has a very large body of work, folks just tend to gravitate to whats come out as a movie or such, Shaw shank was a short storie in a book, like i said he takes up 3 shelves in my book case.

went and saw him speak and read passages for insomnia back when it came out, possibly the worst book he ever wrote. in Santa cruse CA. he was pretending to support small book shops while cruising on his chopper, i brought my $75 addition of my pretty pony hopping to get it signed, we were informed that he was not going to sign any thing. He has since apologized but had to get hit by a van first while stumbling? on the road first.
