I loved steve. I hope a bunch of people and his kids carry on the legacy.
I can't believe it, such wierd news.

My friend and I did a documentary on cichlids, were we wore khaki shorts and boots and ran around in the lake and filmed my tank. He got a A

I'll keep steve in mind. Wow

They are having a special tribute to Steve on Wednesday night.

And they are calling for a State funeral.

I hope he gets it.

Any chance of the rest of the world seeing that?

A great man is gone...big loss to the world and esp the animals..

But now, just one year after I had to tell my 9 yo son that his grandpa died, now I (like many other parents) have to tell him his "Television Hero" died too.

True, many great people die everyday, just great to different people, in different ways.

This is a man who touched the hearts of so many adventurous, animal lovong kids (and adults) all over the world.

Although I sometimes felt he was a bit "out-there", and he took chances most of us would never even dream of, I for one, respect and admire the work he did that allowed my son and me (and all of us) to better appreciate and understand the wildlife he was able to get so close to, and bring into our homes.

I just woke up and saw it on the news...

My generation of nature buffs and outdoor enthusiasts grew up watching this guy. My girlfriend summed it up this morning. She said that normally when a celebrity passes you feel for the family and stuff, but this time, with steve, its almost as if we all lost a family member....
