Steve Irwin aka Crocodile Hunter Killed

considering some of the animals he worked with im EXTREMELY surprised thats what ended up getting him. i always figured on seeing a headline such as... "Steve Irwin dead from 38 cobra bites to the face" or "Steve Irwin savagely beaten to death by 5 silver-back gorillas" or possibly even "Steve Irwin torn in half in a tug of war between a croc and a komodo dragon". but a stingray? thats just messed up
 
Its sad to see somebody who actively persues their dream and educates everyone while doing it pass before us. He has been mocked, made fun of,and laughed at...but nobody in this day and age has involved so many people at some point with his passion for reptiles...and in the process made it fun and exciting to learn about reptiles. He has been and is one of the best wildlife educators and showmen in todays world....he will be sadly missed.

yep. most of the reptile comunity laughed at him and said he was a moron. Yet he did more for the animals, than any reptile enthusiest ever will... Simply by educating the public in a friendly way and getting them to love/respect animals... NOT just reptiles.

i senn that one... i cried with him... who in the world can say that cared like that...
 
A great man, and a great advocate for animals. He will be missed. A very charismatic man. His poor wife still doesn't know. She use to be from the northwest, and donated a SA puma to a rescue for large cats in spokane, wa.
