ok he nearly died and everything but i'm pretty sure 90% of people have.

i have never nearly died. i'd be willing to bet most people have not.

People don't have to be popular for others to care about them.

That has to be one of the most shallow statements I've ever read.

3 times so far for me...

First was being born. I was a blue baby. I popped out with the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck.

Second was when I was 8, and found out I was allergic to bees. I was chasing my older brother, and we were running through the woods. We ran through a hornets nest, and I swelled up to easily double my size, and collapsed. My throat swelled up, I went into anaphylactic shock, and my heart stopped. They got me pumping again on the ride to the hospital.

Third was when I was 19. First day of spring break, went riding. I was on my dirt bike, on the road, in fourth gear and upshifting, doing around 65 mph. A deer jumped over the guardrail, and ran in front of me. I locked up both tires, t-boned the deer, and went flying over the handlebars. My right thumb got caught, and I shattered it into 4 pieces (They were going to amputate it that night, but the doctor was able to save it). I crushed three of the bones in my left wrist, had internal bleeding, and blew apart my right knee. Got chopper lifted to the hospital, where I spent two weeks in shock trauma.

So, all in all, I am averaging one near death every 8 years (roughly).

I should be good for another couple years! :D

MTV has a habit of replaying shows a ton of times, ............. anyone know when this special might re-air?

In no way what so ever was that "shallow". I was suggesting that TV programming is based on public opinion and how many people will tune in, in that case what goes on tv is a popularity thing. They aren't going to make a show about something or someone who isn't "popular".

I'm just saying alot of people have near misses at dying for one reason or another, just so happens his was very much self inflicted one.

ahhhhh people get me so wrong.......:D

the show was excellent, anybody who's ever gone through the same crap he has can deff give him props. popularity or not this show can help others.

those of you who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.

It was alive aswell? awwww, was it not still alive when he threw it up?

It was alive when he regurgitated it again. But on the subject of the show, I want to see it badly but i had to work when it was on! :( But you all know mtv overplays EVERYTHING so i will catch it next time.

I've seen a kid who was dared to do that trick... needless to say as it went into his mouth he immediantly puked. The goldfish was alive and flopping in the puke puddle...

it wasnt as much as him geting close to dieing its more of him wanting to see his mom........ and she suffered before here death and that really messed him up...... IF u have had any family member die a so painful death and u know u couldn't do anything about it is very hard.......... it was a great show.......
