Still Can't Beat a RIO MAG!!! POST YOUR PICS!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nobody is saying one is superior to other. But I will say this, I see quite a difference in body shape and color when Comparing the Rio Mag to lets say a Gorillus. I think its the same with Dovii, I prefer the longer body of the Costa Rican Dovii compared to the Nic dovii.
Same with the Umbee, I prefer the longer body to the shorter more pronounced snout body of the Gorillus. Just my opinion.

And there's nothing wrong with that:) I'm just glad there's enough variety for everyone to like them:)

Where do you see me saying one is superior to other?
I know I said that I liked the body shape of the rio mag more than that of a Gorillus. But if you read the whole thing, i said "just my opinion". So its not like I am saying one is better or worse, just saying which body style "I" prefer.

I think this thread is getting off topic real fast. Can we stop with the p*ssing contest and just enjoy the OP's and other fish pics posted here? All the chatter probably is better placed in another thread.

Anymore?

Gmfishnut's wild male was pretty bad. I wonder how he looks now

And update on my pair. I know I need to darken up the substrate.

He's boss so she yields and he eats first so he's catching up to her size, but he''s still smaller. That don't matter because they bred already and had wigglers(did not keep).

I'm pretty sure George doesn't have any umbees now. Practically fell out of the hobby:/ I know he sold those umbees you see in pics

I am.

As far as natural strain goes, Rio Mag So Far is the superior Umbee strain of all/any strain of Umbees ever posted on this forum or anywhere on the internet whether they r green, black, or blue.
Rio mags on top of the Umbee chain.

Hence the thread title.

No offense to anybody's Umbees. It's just the truth from me I want to say for the Rio Mag Umbees.
