Doing some more maintenance on the planted tank. Pulled out a different Anubias and was amazed that it was one rhizome. I honestly thought this was 3 different plants. Estimate the rhizome is about 20 inches long if straightened out.
Well I have done a complete overhaul on this tank since last update. Not sure why but the rams all died off so I replaced them with 8 kribs. Waiting for them to hopefully pair off and I will reduce some numbers. Picked up the tiger lotus bulb from Aquarium co-op and the sword. The Val and the monte cristo I picked up at the same time didn’t do great. The crypto in the back is a left over from the old set up. Not sure what changed but it took off recently. That is all from one plant, has sprouted about 10 new plants at this point.
Beautiful evolution of your tank. I’m envious of your anubias growth. Mine got string algae (we went away and a fish died the day we left.. pretty sure that caused the spike) and I had to pitch it. I am now wondering if I could have salvaged it… hmmm.
Been a minute since I updated this tank. I unfortunately only have one female krib left and one of her babies as she killed every other one. Still have a school of neons and added a few galaxy rasboras. Plants continue to flourish.
