Still pretty sour about this loss.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm so sorry to hear. Loosing a prize fish is always depressing.

Nothing worst eh? i lost my first RTC cause something freaked him out while i was gone so he knocked the whole canopy off and ended up on the floor leaving me a huge mess... and very depressed..

On the other hand i had a silver at 13" jump out of a similar TINY stupid hole in one of my lids and he landed in a bucket i had near the tank with couple inches of water in it, he lived!!! hehe!

Sorry for your loss though.... at least these types of errors only happen once to each of us. You're in the clear now.

thats bad luck mate
how the hell did he manage to get out from there

If there is a hole, the aro will find it sooner or later.
I just didn't know it was there. I thought the whole back was covered and weighted.

Wow, he lived. That is to cool. You got very lucky. So now all I have to do is surround my tank with buckets half full and I should never lose another aro. :D

I wish these errors would happen only once,I got this hole covered, but aro's are very strong, very determined fish. I lost this guy from the same tank a couple of months ago. He must have spooked or something. He ended up knocking off 4 water jugs and jumping out the same crack I lost this little guy to. When I got home he was taking his last couple of breaths on the floor, about 15 to 20 feet from where he hit the floor. I put him back in the tank and held him infront of the fx-5, and walked him, for about 30minutes till he could swim by himself. After the first day I thought he was going to make it, but he died on day two or three after the jump.
I dont even see how he made it through the crack. I don't even think the crack is as wide as the aro was.
