Still trying to figure out this fish

Looks like it has a lil Dempsey. Deadeye Deadeye Rtc/tsn Rtc/tsn duanes duanes

Starting to get red shoulders at around the same size as a trimac would, has 3 flower spots down its body along with red eyes and greenish/olive color body. Everything here is telling me pure trimac. Unless this was wild caught I doubt it’s pure but it sure does look like it. Only thing I see showing it may be a hybrid is the yellow and black on the fins. Either way this is one beast of a fish. Can’t wait for him to put on some size.

Edit: the yellow on the fins look a bit to vivid at this size to me for it to be pure and like always with any cichlid used for hybrids unless you can find out where it came from or see it’s parents then there’s no full way you can really be 100% positive

It is absolutely not a JD,
and since......FHs are a hybrid between a trimaculatus and some other cichlid, it is impossible to tell the difference without a DNA test,
Some trimaculatus hybrids will look like the mother, some the father, some (usually a very few like a high quality FH)
Here is a young true trimaculatus.
Below a pair of adult true trimaculatus.
