Still trying to figure out this fish

Looks to be a lot of trimac in there, but like others have said you can’t be sure without seeing the parents, and the parents’ parents, etc.

Yea.. no clue who/where the parents are.. bought it a LFS.. jersey.. perhaps i will ask .. i like the fish though

On another note.. i have 5 unsexed Trimacs coming to me from Kevin @ tangled up in Cichlids.. looking to get a nice pair from there.. will keep the forum posted if anyone is from jersey or nearby..

Since you have true trimaculatus coming from a reliable source, I would not put it in the same tank with them.
If they would happen to mate with it, any fry would be not be able to be considered true trimacs, because the possibility of the mutt gene contaminating any of the progeny.
 
I'm late to this one, but IMO, the pictured Cichlid looks like a juvenile female FH.
