Might not have been anything you did necassarly..... Look at the pertruding hip bones in the pic..... The ray looked to be in poor health.

I have also imported around 50 rectis the past 4 years with my LFS. They have fine sand in all their tanks. We have only lost a few. :ROFL:

Your sand substrate you posted is much different than this sand substrate, I am sorry you can't see this.

I keep my 'newly imported retics' on the same sand substrate you do, no issues..


I am the one who has never lost a reticulata ray??? so...
