Stinger wound. Chance of survival?

Only concern is if it hit an organ. If it hit an organ it's toast, but you would probably know right away. My only thought of this going south is if the venom is so close to an organ that maybe it spreads to it, but I think that is such a low chance at this point in time that I wouldn't even think twice about it. I'm just guessing anyway, maybe it's impossible, but a ray tagged in its organ goes downhill fast. As much as this thread seems to indicate it's a common occurrence I still think it's playing with fire, clip the barbs if in doubt or you may not get so lucky next time.

The fact that the ray is active and eating means it should be fine. If it hits an organ its a different story as stated. My male was hit in an organ. Instantly noticeable and the male only lasted 5 days before dying.
