yea dude maybe he found a shed barb while searching for food and was a little over-curious and took a taste

The problem is the barb has little spikes facing the opposite way to the tip so when you pull it out it does a lot more damage than when it did going in this is why it's so hard to get a rays sting out of a net when it gets stuck

Thats the advantage of a bare bottom tank, you can spot shedded barbs straight away and remove them before they cause any damage. Hope the poly makes a full recovery.
