So my rays are really becoming a frustrating problem.

They used to love shrimp, specifically the shrimp I can get it bulk for a good price. Great- get a new case of 75lbs today, they have now decided that they don't really like it anymore, all they want is tilapia. Fine, we can feed fish. Get tilapia and find a case of swai for $2/lb. Fantastic, an affordable way to feed my many many rays. None of them like it. I mix it, and in whatever ratio I do it in, they just eat all the tilapia chunks and leave the swai.

I have never had my group be this picky and have always tried to get them a varied diet of massivore, smelt, tilapia and shrimp, squid, octopus, etc.
Depends on what's available and affordable. They haven't gotten smelt in about a year as my supplier doesn't carry it anymore and I cannot afford $9/lb to get it with anyone who carries it

They eat massivore really well and all this storage of frozen fish that they change their minds every other day on whether on not they'll eat it anymore is beyond frustrating and expensive for no reason.

Bought some meat wafers and krill pellets from Ken's and hoping this will be a good answer to cost effectiveness and something they'll accept that's good for them.

Anyone else have issues like this with rays getting picky without reason?

Can I blend a bunch of garlic up and soak any of this to make it more appealing? I won't be getting it again, but they need to eat this 😂.

I tried swai years ago, none of my rays would eat it. Guess they just don't like it. As far as being picky, just starve them for a few days and they'll usually take what u give them after that bro.

Mine have never been picky like this. I don't know if they're just going through a phase or what. They're snubbing their normal food for food items they like better. They're really into tilapia and salmon right now. Shrimp has fallen out of grace and swai isn't a hit.

They also really like tuna 🙃
