Not sure exactly what is wrong with my Ray but she's been getting worse I thought it may have been from getting bitten by a tank mate but I took her and put her in a quarantine tank and it seems to be getting worse now so not sure what to do. Any bit of information would help, she hasn't been eating and I been doing 10% water changes every few days but been away for the past 2 days so she hasn't seen much attention during that time.

Here are some photos, hopefully someone can help me as she has been my pride and joy for the past year of having her.

So you have been doing 10% water changes?

What is the volume of the tank?

Is the tank you threw her in a cycled tank?

Have you bothered to check the water params?

All I can say is it doesnt look good for the ray.

What were the tank mates it was with? What are the water parameters in now both hospital and main tank?

Sorry I was away from my computer since posting this. The tank was cycled many months ago as a tank for my Flowerhorn but I needed a hospital tank because I was doctoring a TSN so took the FH out and put the TSN in and when he was back to full health I put him back in the 500 gallon so had a empty 56 gallon hospital tank. The Ray was with my RTC, TSN, Jardini Arowana, and Alligator Gar which I rescued from a 135 gallon just recently.
She is my first Ray and I've had her about a year so this is very hard seeing her in that condition as I try to take care of all my fish and tanks as best as I can.

BAD NEWS is she was already dead when I went to check on her a little while ago to take water params again. Hospital tank parameters was Ph7, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates <20ppm before she died, if I was to check now I'm guessing it would be all out of whack having a ray die in it.

Very sad day in my house and I am really hoping myself and others could maybe learn something from it. Keep a very close eye on your Rays, Tank Mates and Water Parameters as you may never know what could have killed your Ray.

I just got home from a 6 1/2 hr trip I took late last night (it is now almost 6am here) so I am very tired but will check the water params in the main tank if I can after work.
Thank you all for the concerns and happy fish keeping.

Yes well here in Regina we have a small group of close friends who are Monster Fish Keepers and we all kind of keep the same species of fish. So I've seen this combination work in other tanks and so far the other than the Arowana I haven't had any one bother the Ray she's actually been more of the aggressive tank mate to the Catfish. I will post a photo of my friends tank who also keeps many of the same species I do (this photo was from a few months back) just so you can get a idea of what our tastes are out this way.

Thank you for the concerns, Happy Fish Keeping.734430_198790150267404_77663172_n.jpg

My stingray(Potamotrygon Reticulata)is having some problems this morning. He has some blanching and slight curling and a white spot on his tail. What should I do to help him? I've added some aquarium salt and I turned the heater on, is there anything else I can do? From the symptoms listed what would you say is wrong? Tank parameters were Amm=0 Nitrite=0 Nitrate=0 Ph=7. Really don't want him to die! Help!
