European crawlers are half the size/weight or less of Canadian crawlers so that is not a very good deal...

They are smaller, yes, not sure about half the size though. My europeans were pretty big.

Europeans average 1-1.5g each while Canadians average 2-3 g each. I am gonna give that first link a try cuz $6 will buy me 2g of gas lol. I will let you all know how they show up. The second one, speedy worms, does charge shipping on top of the $47 tho, already looked into them.

My ray has been downing whole nightcrawlers - they are almost as long as his disk and thicker than his tail, but he sucks um down like spaghetti

Not here. $54 for 500 large Canadians is by far the best deal I have seen. I can't wait to see how they look when they show up. I will be ordering them in a couple days.

Why not grow you own? Make a small compost pile outside and you will have an endless supply of worms that your rays could never finish.
I started a worm farm hoping it would be great. But about the time i had my second batch of pups eating well they were all gone. So back to the store i have been going. I try to get them all off worms as fast as possible.

My ray eats about a dozen canadian night crawlers a day. I get them for about $40 for 500 inc shipping.
Where do you get 500 Canadians for $40? I don't eat healthy enough to have a compost pile :/ I have had great success with my retics on a crawler, pellet, raw market shrimp diet so I don't plan to ever attempt to phase out crawlers.
