Hey everyone. I have a 75 gallon tank that i plan on setting up by the end of this month. I been researching on stingrays all day. I went through every forum about stingrays here on MFK.

I know i need a minum of 100 something gallon. I have no space for any bigger tanks.

In my 75 gallon i plan on keeping the following.

2 arowanas
2 datnoids
2 rope fish
1 electric catfish
2 pleco
6 snails
2 stingrays

I dont know what kind of sting ray i can keep in a 75 gallon for a long time.

I would like to know what kind i can keep in there?

Thanks
-Gary

There are not any stingrays you could keep in there for any length of time. And a few of the tank mates would not be a good choice either. I'd steer clear of plecos and the e-cat could mess with the stingrays. I think the snails and rope fish would end up as a snack. Sorry. I'd wait till you got a bigger tank to get rays.

unfortunately you can't keep either a ray, arowana, or datnoid in your tank. They will all individually outgrow your tank, and all of them together will be a disaster!

well your water quality is allready questionable.... umm yea there is no stingray you can keep in there.... the stock load is too high plecos are usually no good..... when you can get atleast a 180(6x2x2) then consider a stingray......

i didn't even see the ecat!!! don't do it man, disaster in the making

I know i need a bigger tank. I will be getting a 250 custom tank by december. this tank is going to be my growout tank till then. the fishes are going to be small between 2-5 inches. i dont think i will get the plecos then

over filter the hell out of it and do a 24/7 water changer @ 50 GPD and you might be doable but I would hold off on the rays till the 250.....

arow not even a year.dats given you get them small you could keep in there for a few years.but dont do the ray i know people are desprate to get them but they do when they shouldnt.if you want rays take a look at the indoor pond section best bet.i have a retic that stores call a tea cup...lol....that is around 10in with tail couldnt turn around in a 75 that type of stress=death...

Yea i want a sting ray badly. I dont know. what about if i only keep stingrays in the 75 gal. Just pups? i can make the water quilty perfect for them.
