Which is exactly the point I was trying to make. Look at lil Bill and lil lil Bill. Prime examples of Pearls that don't necessarly fit what a "typical" pattern looks like.
I'm NOT saying it isn't a Pearl, I'm just saying with FW rays that pattern is a poor thing to base an ID on.
Lots of Pearls have the center spot surrounded by a black then an outline around the black. Yours shows this very well. The O.P.'s lacks this outline.
Maybe I'm crazy but I see some similarities with this ray.....
I know MFSWets had a odd ball looking male Marble that shared some of the same traits as the ray this thread is about. I believe JimR had one of these style of Marbles as well..... His was the father to the ray of mine I just posted a pic of.
