Stingray in 150?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got the 150 it is 72" x 18" x 24" (L x W x H)
Is it big enough for a stingray? Also will the stingray disrupt plants on the bottom cause if yes than I don't want it. I really want this tank to be planted now that I have it.

Stingrays destroy planted tanks. Won't work...plus 150 is just not large enough regardless of what some people think. Recipe for trouble. Just hold out till you can set up something proper. It's really worth doing it right and not being impatient. You and your rays will be much happier!

What about a mini marble montoro male, don't they stay below 12"?

Mini marbles are harder to find.... they have better markings and cost more then your average marble..... if your looking to spend that much on a marble you might as well use it for the tank size upgrade...... There's ur answer bud lol

Lol...well put! Besides, once you start getting rays you're gonna want more, and different kinds. Might as well get ahead of it and start with an adequate sized tank.

Oh you so right..

justarn justarn .. as I said in one of my posts.... falling in love with rays is very bad news...

You start with one or two (personally i feel you should start with two as from my observation of their behavior, they like to interact with their own kind) and then you want one more.. and one more... and.. and..

So rather first invest in a nice sized tank, then you know you good for a few years..
