stingray magazine article

in the august 2010 issue of practical fishkeeping there is a 2 part guide of keeping stingrays. just thought i would share this.

its a uk magazine, i havent bought or read yet but i plan on it.

i gave up buying that mag years ago they run the same articles over and over again i you buy it for one year no need to buy it anymore as its the same things over and over again with just a few words change

that said its the only good fish mag in the UK but it doesn't take long of buying it that you think oh no not stingrays again

how are their stingray articles though? every time im at a store that sells fish mags i look but never see any ray articles.

if you look at back issues you will see that this mag run a stingray article no less that 10 months ago

its hard for any mag to keep it interesting it doesn't take long before you think not again not again

this is what makes forums more interesting

1. they are free
2. you can get answers to you ?s in mins
3. a lot of the things in any mags are not always 100% right

thats true. i have never subsrcibed to any fish mags but do buy the occasional one if it has something that catches my eye. im still interested in reading it though, as i wouldnt be like oh no not another ray but about time they do another ray article lol. even if its almost identicle article at least the pics will be different lol.

the article's author is the same guy that was busted for smuggling in Brazil in 2008.
It is a shame that any ethical or reputable magazine would have anything to do with him.

I get the mag for soemthing to read , tbh the article isn't that good. got some nice pictures in it but the information wasnt anything new at all.
It does say about keeping pirahan's with rays which is something i have never thought or would think off.

Are you refering to Heiko Bleher? If I'm not mistaken, thats who the author of the article is.

just did a search on him and wow he has done so much for the community and for fish keeping. im sorry david but if i was a magazine i would be honored to have him write for me.
