Stingray Noob needs help with sand!

Pool filter sand is just fine. No one is commenting because these questions have been answered many, many times in many threads. Use the search tab at top right and find nearly every answer you could need :)

But what about argonite. Unfortunately the site seems to have some issues searching... It's asking me to either broaden or concentrate my search.

I think arognite would be too harsh. Why not spend a tiny bit extra and buy some proper aquarium sand, there is a range called torpedo beach I think that many have used. Your rays will spend 99% of their life in it or on it and you will spend more in a month on food than the sand costs when they are grown...sorry if this sounds harsh, it is not meant to be, it is meant to help.

Oh not at all. I was just seeing if there was an alternative. The reason I ask if aragonite is ok because the sand suggested to me by Caribsea has aragonite in it... Wasn't sure if it was safe. I may just use some ordinary aquarium sand to be safe. As for food... I have a plan already :)
