How big is the tank and how is your filtration? Is it wild caught? Ammonia level can be high or it has a parasite.

My teacups would not except anything but cut up earthworms. You might want to try that.

my stingray is small still, filtration levels are ok i asked the person wer i bought it from, all i know it is an import and the aquatic shop had it for 3 weeks before i took it from them, iv go really small bloodworms so size is not the issue, but have noticed that it only behaves abnormal wen i do the water change otherwise its fine(swimming around the sides of the tank) and im only doing quarter water change i do ph test ad kh test every two day to make sure parameters are correct. i dont want to starve it because i dont know he real problem, and wer can the parasite come from i have got only 1 other fish the algae eating 1(which is always hidden my sting ray is only about 4inches wide) still a baby i think.

yes i keep it in the dark all the time, but reading som1 else answers not always help because you dont knw if the stingray has got the same problem, im asking for help because i dont wana lose the sting ray, betta den waiting and trying other people ideas and results. so please try to help thankyou, iv had it for 7 weeks now and still giving me problems

well jst because the people you got it from said it was alright doesnt mean it is, feed us some numbers, they might just have been trying to sell you the ray, what do you mean by algae eater? common pleco? most people dont trust those with rays, it may have had the parasite when you got it, just answer all the questions they asked with facts and figures instead of "the guy at the fish store said it was good" and youll more then likely get the correct answer from these guys, if not you might as well go discuss it with the guy from the fish store that said it was alright

ok im not even gonna read the last posts.... im gonna put this this way.... I DONT CARE WHAT HE OR SHE SAID AT THE STORE.... answer the following questions with numbers

Ammonia=
nitrite=
nitrate=
i dont care about PH but post it....

what size tank?
what kind of filtration? specs on it?

that is all you need to say in your next post is the answer to these questions...

soz i dont mean to com across rude, i take a sample of water and get it tested and get back to you with the results plus wat type of filtration iv got, i will need to check up on that, and i will give you the name of the pleco is well,

i give you the results on sunday afternoon, i know you all are tying to help, thank you.

:iagree:

and apparently you have a pleco in the tank as well ?
you might want to take the pleco out for now till your ray gets eating and is more settled
