hes thinking about hystrix aswell
Motoros could also live in a tank thats 36'' wide they only grow to a maximum of 24'' that leaves a foot of space for its tail which should be enough. i would like to get 4x4X1 tank one day, however i would get 4X3x1 also.

:popcorn::popcorn:

Both of those tanks are to small, sorry to tell you.... and motoros can get 30+ inches def bigger then 24" i think there is a member on here who has a 36" female... you have def done your homework on rays i give you that... but just sit back a lil and read more on this site, its a lil different then aquapreditors ... more stingray fans here check out our stickies up top

correct, just keep in mind you will eventually need to upgrade we would rather give information that will set you up to suceed then have you start with a 120 gallon expecting that it would be enought for life.

yep , thanks , iam going to start them in my pond and i have done my research, so i know that

You could house several more than just 2 in there, if you are going to get them as pups. If you are building a pond that large then I have no doubts that you will upgrade when the time comes. If you go with your original footprint, I think that a very conservative estimate would be 6 motoro pups, very comfortably. That is, if your tank's filtration is sufficient and you plan on getting a bigger place for them to live when they grow massive (as motoros will inevitably do).

Good luck, and post some pics when you get the project started!

have anybody have any problems using pond liner becuase could the stinger splite the liner and for heating could i just get some 25 watts heater and turn the to full power to save money , i have done it for my 3ft tank it got a 5 watt heater in it and it like 24 to 27 degree in my tank, what do you think.

Do it right at the first time. Repair job will be troublesome, very stressful for the owner and the rays as well.

Plan your work and work your plan.
