Stingray rescue help

This is the never ending cycle of ppl buying cheap imports from flippers that only care about the bottom dollar not a repeat customer. All these rays come in with tons of problems. Not saying you should never buy an import ray but it’s extremely rare these days to find a seller that doesn’t have the rays posted on their website the day it arrives, if not pre sold before that. All with zero quarantine time.
Throwing all the risk on the customer when it should’ve been the importers responsibility to get that fish back to a healthy state after a long trip over seas. At least that’s what I’d be doing if I imported fish. Water, food, and meds are cheap when you get a repeat customer willing to spend thousands on rays. Anyways, Support your local ray breeder. You will 100% have a better experience than with the flippers!

Where is the OP? What's happening with this ray? Any progress getting it to eat?
No doubt it is the same one Arowana.hw Arowana.hw posted the pic of. It looked very thin in the for sale pic, SO much more emaciated in the OP's pic, no way there was only a few days between those 2 pics.
Buyers beware of global rays!

The ray is dead, it came in mid Feb shipment and starved for 2 months!! I got one and it died within 24 hrs. Obviously it was a bad batch from global and they put the blame on the customer.. I didn’t get my refund(1.2k)… I didn’t pay cash but I did trade in bunch of monster fish which they killed as well under their care… the snowwhite gar and albino gar both broke their back and died under their care. Like how do u even kill a gar, they are hardy asf.. 2 gars!!! Who knows how many other rays died, how many other fish… and other customer with similar experience…

All the Global owner/employee so quite 🤡

Predatory Fins / Stingray Biology has a great rep for providing quality rays and if it dies you are getting another one no question. 1st class aquatics I have also had success with. Pay more and get more thats the name of the game when it comes to rays. You bare all the brunt of a poorly handled ray and imo there is a rolling lag. They normally will make it to a week after shipping if it was overly stressed then die.

Global are just as expensive except they don’t honor their 48 hour live guarantee policy which is clearly stated on their website. They won’t last long at this rate.

Money isn’t the factor here. There’s plenty of cheap rays from respectable breeders, most just aren't the flashy eye catching hybrids being breed over seas and brought in by importers so they’re quickly overlooked.
Even predatory fins imports their rays now instead of selling stingray biology rays. Stingray biology was the only clean commercial US source for rays but Kevins move set him back dramatically with breeding.
I’ve seen all of these sources mentioned post about getting a shipment of rays in and have them for sale the following day then a post of them in a box shipping a week later. Which is a red flag in my opinion unless that’s specifically what the customer asked for knowing all risks involved. Nothing against the sellers, they’re clearly not hiding it with the back to back postings of these fish on social medias but it’s definitely not where I spend my money. As a buyer I do my diligence and ask the history of these rays and how they’ve been cared for. If your seller can’t answer a few of your questions and make you feel confident in the answers given. That should be enough to avoid them in my opinion. A healthy common ray beats a sick flashy one any day of the week!

I haven't seen a 48 hour guarantee before. You have a picture of this?
