Stingray shoots water out of tank and soaks floor...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Since no one has answered correctly I will chime in..
Your Stingray is hungry, that is why it’s spitting. I have some that will do this, half belly of food they’ll still spit until they are completely stuffed. Some Rays just like to be “fat”
Either increase the amount your feeding/frequency. If it won’t eat more then what you’re feeding then you likely have a different issue all together. Cheers!
Thx - will try stuffing her - she gets hikari carnivore pellets which she devours and cut shrimp.

Black rays tend to be more clowns the black rays. IME p14 is an ******* of a species and spits water and doing all kinds of mischief.

I used to have a ray that would spit water when he was hungry lol. He had pretty good aim too, got me a couple times while I was on the couch a few feet away. That tank didn't have a lip though just a standard glass tank. Lids should be the obvious solution though, something heavy.

Stingray exotics Canada said the same thing and I started feeding 3 times a day ( covid time) and she’s no longer soaking my floor which parallels your experience. The ray is smarter than I give her credit for.
