Mine used to do that a lot. Started to chip the glass on the tank so I had to remove all the large stones!

Yes mine do too. I'm assuming they are moving them around in hopes of having a crayfish or something hiding underneath. Fascinating creatures.

Ya my 13 inch female moves softball size rocks all the time!

This is exactly the reason all my tanks apart from the pup tanks have substrate and driftwood of various sizes. These incredibly intelligent fish require stimulation as Jim just mentioned, all you ray keepers out there that keep your rays in bare glass aquariums really are missing out on so many aspects of the natural behaviour of these magnificent fish.

Zac, change those pebbles for similar size pieces of driftwood/ bogwood, the ray can then throw them all over the place to its hearts content!

Same issue I had Jim. Mine would blow under 1-.1.5 lb rocks looking for food. Started chipping the Eurobacing on my 340 bad enough the silicone has peeled off. Nothing but driftwood and substrate anymore. Will have to check into something similar to these Kongs. You have a pic?
