Stingray staple diet?

You got it bud. I just realized this wasn't a thread on how to convert your ray onto pellets. I would say pellets are the best/easiest staple diet. Two different types of sinking pellets made up about 90% of my rays diet. THe other 10% being shrimp soaked in vitamin. The only problem with pellets is once the rays start getting some size on them, they can eat a crap load of pellets.

I'd be happy if they ate a lot of pellets. Not worried about money, I'm worried about health.
 
just starve the ray a few days it will take to pellets...

That may be an option down the road, but it is still young and I don't want to stress it too much at this point. I'll try soaking the pellets and see what happens.

ive starved pups for over a week... i wouldnt worry a few days are not gonna cause it much stress
 
Alright, if that's the case and all else fails I'll give it a shot!
 
I have offered pellets soaked in bloodworms several times over the last couple days. I fed Hikari carnivore, sinking cichlid pellets and Marine-A with no success. I'm going to keep at it.
