Stingray tail

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks the tank is 600 gal and yeah the flower-ish looking hybrid is one of my favorite rays, it seems like it's so much easier to find cool black rays than cool yellow rays

If the whole tail is gone, rays kinda lose their appeal and "wow factor" though... Would u mind posting a picture of yours? Also, since you are in MD like me, what LFS did u get it from? (Just curious...)

Not at all! The wow factor is the Ray itself they remind me alot of octopus.

That P14 is crazy nice.......

Really sweet hybrid too. Great stock list! Nice to see another Brassy Dorado surface!!!!

I used to think it wouldn't grow back

But I had 2 x pearl pups in a small tank the male was bigger than the female and the male chewed the tip of the females tail just so the sting was over hanging the end of the tail
Now about 2-3 weeks later the tail seams to have grown back past the stinger

I think when the rays get older had the tail gets stronger and harder it won't grow back but at pup size there is a chance

That's what I was kind of thinking that maybe since it was a pup it had a chance cause it looks like it grew a quarter inch but that's over the course of 6 months, cause as a ray grows so does there tail, so you would think it could possibly grow back.

It looks like more than one of your rays have a part of the tail missing

The rays look to big now for the tails to grow back

The ray with over half of its tail missing. Would never grow back no matter what size the ray was to much is missing

Nice tank
