Ya, thats the only reason I even put the Ammonia block and carbon in there, just as a backup will it gets est.
 
As already shown on the thread...either move the media from old filter to new (do not even rinse it out...especially not under the tap) OR run the old filters alongside the new for a few weeks and then take away the old filter (ideally passing across the media) or rinse the old media in tank water from a bucket and then hang it in the flow of the new FX5 outlet suspended in the tank.
