Stingray tank question

I did not see any ? this but if you remove the divided sections will this tank no longer be stable without the support of these sections? How thick is the glass of the main tank? You may need to make some kind of support to keep this aquarium from bowing & splitting at the seams? I'm not sure because I have only seen the tank system in my travels but do not know much about it? I would maybe contact Marineland to confirm?

I had already thought of that also. I am going to build a cross brace that will hold each side of the tank at the top. Then put cut glass lid on it. That way I have a open tank, can use all the space and still have bracing and use the bracing to have a area for me to put a glass lid on it.
But your right, that would be a concern if someone did take it out and not brace it. In time it would bow out.
