Why not go with flooring tile. You can still get a nice looking color with the benefits of a bare bottom......Just a thought.

If you posted this in the stingray section, i think bare bottom would win. But then again, i have 2 tanks one bb and one with sand

I personally like bare bottom tanks. It's easy to maintain and you can focus on the fish not the decor.
