Picked up 3 rays from a member 10 days ago.....all adults.....hystrix female around 13 inch disk, marble male about 14 inch disk and 18 inch disk marble female......the 2 females have eaten but the male still hasn't eatten.....I've tried tilapia, shrimp, silver sides, smelt, cichlid pellets, massivore pellets, eathworms......water perams check out and the tank is on a 96 gpd drip......

Any comments on what I should do

If you look through the first 3 or so pages of the stingray forum you will find a ton of answers on how to reduce stress. I just posted one this morning for jesseliu. Only thing I would add in your case is to separate the male.

so it was you who sniped them...
i would say do what terror27 terror27 told me to do and start dosing vitamin B1. i recently got new rays 2 months prior to picking up your old pair. and they were terrible eaters. i bought b1 and dropped them in the tank and next day BAM. 3 rays 1 whole fillet of swai about a pound Vs before dosing b1 1 shrimp per every few days.

Only thing is my tank is on a drip?....so Idk how long the dosage of b1 is effective

I'm afraid moving the male again will only stress him out more

Would only 3 hrs be effective enough?

Davenmandy there no use in dividing him yet if I can dose b1 in the whole tank

I personally disagree, but that's just an opinion. I just feel sometime the mere presence of other fish floating around, or pouncing aggressively on food during feeding, is enough to spook them not to try to eat. I have never heard about the b1 thing so can't comment on how fast it works. Good luck.
