the only one i know that has is Ross of course and Mike.
i would think there would be more ray keepers doing this do to the fact that blk rays are so expensive. there use to be a guy known for gold fish in Ohio named Jim Horn and i understand that he was known for injecting meds for koi and some fancy gold fish. i would like to know more about this. so much to learn

I have injected meds into my rays before. "Anythingfish" Todd has too. Very effective in treating rays. Its not that hard. You just put them in a rubbermaid with 2" or so of water, and inject in the fatty part of the back end of them. I hold a piece of clear acrylic over the tail in case they take a swipe at me. So far, no mishaps, but its not like you inject rays all the time. Only have done it twice.

Don't you have photos?

Antibiotics are most effective when injected in rays.
For internal parasites a bath still works, but you need less medication if you inject the medication in worms and feed them to your rays. That is really fun, be careful not to inject your fingers ;)

@Miles
This conversation with Richard Ross was done at another board some years ago. I'm glad that I did a translation in german because the english original disappeared. This is a very sad thing, he spend his time to answer many questions and now it's gone.
Because these things happened I understand very well that some experts did not spent much time on internet boards. You never know how long your work is online.

Get a syringe with a small gauge needle and give it a try with sterile water... it;s better to learn on healthy fish than waiting until a crisis...there are some pictures in Dr. Ross' book...
