Stingrays and Plecos

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks bro. its worth a shot imo. if it really doesnt work out, i will return the ray but like i said, im confident. ive spoken to other people and it seems that commons and more meateating plecs are usually the damagers.

ok ok, i feel a bit of a dumbass now. been talking to somebody who knows rays and although it might go well for a while, the risk is still there. i really wanted a ray but i should put my own feelings aside for now and think about the fish. i do not want any fish to harm the other so im follow your advice too and dont do it.i feel silly as i really wanted it but fish health is more important than my own needs. gotta take care of what i already own.
thanks for all replies guys.

Don't give up now bro. This is just another excuse to buy yet another huge tank. Trust me, theres nothing like a ray tank. After keeping plecos only for years, there outgoing personalities and activity is wild. :D

i think its a sensible decision really. i personally wanted asian soles. worked for just under 2 weeks before i got problems. had to seperate them. only just saved the one. plecos are the main reason i still dont have rays- even though they are my number one wanted fish after them. suck dont it :(
