Stingrays and proper weight

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh, these are pups then. Captive bred I’m guessing? They shouldn’t have forehead dents with this feeding schedule. You might want to try shrimp, squid, scallops too. Make sure to cut into really small pieces.

No they are both wild caught, he doesn’t have any dents, but he doesn’t look as fat as some I’ve seen. Ok I’ll pick some up tomorrow also, so should I get ghost shrimp too or no?

Yes, qt and treat if needed. Where they are wild, they probably haven't eaten for awhile and are thin. It will take awhile to fatten up but you are on track.

I wouldn't bother buying ghost shrimp with pups at this size.

They were QT and treated with prazi pro already. I’m not saying I’m having weight issues, I was just curious on what is considered a proper weight

Feeding pups twice a day, rear end should be plump, tail base should be thick and no ribs or pelvic bones showing
