thatfishplace.com is where i get mine.... i go to the store though since im close also check ebay...

thanks nic for your help
i will get all my issues handled i just worry to much sometimes lol

poly filter improved my water a lot.. rays are more active, and they eat better.. water quality has never been better

I had 2 rays had cloudy eye, and I have tried salt and high temp.. one of them was sold and then later died at the next owner's position.

the 2nd ray i had, i could not help with just salt and temp and i went full dose of maracyn 2 and cleared in 3-4 days.

imo, if salt+high temp dont work in 2-3 days, use ray safe med, i believe me and Nic have been using Maracyn and Marcyn2 with no ill effect

good luck to you Brent.

PS Do u change carbon regularly?

no thats one of my issues i think
alot of guys here don't use carbon at all and never have issues so its hard to say
i personally have always used carbon but i get lazy about changeing it out about every month or so i have been useing kent reef carbon
i have always noticed that when i do put new carbon in the rays seem happier and the water is way clearer for about a week if that

luihsi got me on the poly filter..really like the differences in my big tanks..g/l brent, i'm sure you'll get it handled..

carbon tend to leak stuff back to the water when its done.. and cant tell exact when it has reach the useless stage of it. so you are always guessing. I used to use carbon, but I stop using it, cuz I always forgot to change it.

I say use other stuff..

Try polyfilter instead... that thing does not leak anything back into the water.

I must give the credit to T1Karmann... He is the one got me on this product..

i don't know what to say about the rays eye. i have used poly filters and chemi pure they both work well. poly filters i have not used for ever didn't know they still made it the great thing with the poly filter is you know when to change it by the color. my stock tanks have not been running long but they have uv's and drip system and i am amazed the clarity ,minimum algae growth and especially the activity rate is much higher too. good luck i am sure it will clear up for you.
