Stingrays in Chicago

Live in illinois also. Was considering getting some rays. I'm in the planning stages of indoor pond now. Any pond pics or advise would be great. Is it easier to start with captive bread, or wild? Mature or pups?

I noticed a few people mentioned having some new stingray pups but since I am new I can't private message anyone. Want to know if Brad from Crystal Lake has pups available and how much?

yes there are lots of places to find rays the main one i knew of was scotts. brad you contacted me on AP right? i will pm i have a question about some prices
 
hey i guess i should introduce myself. i am a fishkeeper from chicago and i am in the process of finishing up my 380gal. acrylic tank. i have kept fish for years, all kinds, but this will be my first ray tank. i am very excited. so far everything is going well but i have a million questions. i have talked to scott at scotts who happens to be the man for stingrays in chicago. he directed me alot, but i am also looking forward to learning from all you guys as well. i figure the more heads the better. anyway, thanks in advance for all the help.

thanks colin. im just trying to narrow down my options right now. btw, while your in kalamazoo, stop the the new radison. me and my company built the reef tank in their health club. its a monster in itself.

i saw that tank!! IT was amazing!!!!! Its right by the pool with lots of sweet cardinals. Hey Collin u live in Kazoo so do i! Where do u get ur rays from, there aren't very many good LFS that sell rays. Do u breed them I would be intrested if u ahve pups email me at kdm10@albion.edu
 
yeah it is pretty amazing. everytime im out there for work im stunned about how bright and colorful it is. we have to go under to do some of the maintenance, its some of the best diving around, lol. anyway thanks.
