hi can anyone help i have got a pair of motoros around 10" that i have had for 2 months they have been great until about 1 week ago but have now stopped feeding has anyone got any ideas y this could be happening?cheers greg.

Check all water parameters,if the tank is a well mature one then the Ph could have crashed, this is more common if your water supply has a low KH value and not enough water changes have been carried out.For now do a 50% water change and dont offer anymore food for a few days.
Good luck.

thanks for the advice just done 50% change now i do this every week all water parameters are fine ph 7 nitrate 15/20 ppm nitrite 0 ammonia 0 they are in with 7 clown loach and afew odd cats but have always seemed fine,i have now partitioned the tank and got them on there own they seem very jumpy compaired to how they usually are and are spending alot of time buried in the sand so i have removed this from there side of the tank has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong or is there anything else i can do to help them?
cheers greg.

depends what you are feeding.... rays maybe stressed from water parameters or tankmates.....

they are getting prawn and mussel dailey with squid and fish once or twice a week which they were eating with no problems water parameters seem fine nothing changed since i got them and they have been seperated from the other fish for about 24 hours now still seem jumpy tho and not moveing around much ill try feeding again in about an hour but still dont think they will feed any suggestions appreciated

well they didnt feed and they are now curling there fins right back and flicking them down against the bottom of the tank not looking good is it?!
