Stingrays with aggressive cichlids...can it work?

Good question and interesting feedback. I was considering a beautiful oscar I saw. I wouldn't consider it normally but this fish was exceptional. I have seen pics of peacock bass, giant gouramis, and pikes with rays, so I figure some of these could work out with rays. Anyone have exceptions and successfully keep these two fish types in community tanks?

I have my 10" rays in with 8-9" cichlids, one jag, one midas, and one red bay snook. All in a 450g. Also have a 20" black aro and 12" TSN. The cichlids don't pay any attention to the rays, but the rays do bury themselves in the sand quite often. I have a 180g on the way that the cichlids will be going into. The TSN will be going into a pond shortly.

All my fish are fairly docile and well fed though.

I currently have a 14-inch disk female motoro with a 10" loiselli, a 12-inch albino oscar, a 14" ven pike, 1 5-inch female festae....she grew up with the oscar (both like 5-inchers to start) with almost no interaction...once ina while the oscar would "push" her a little, but since February/March of this year there isno problem......hope that helps!
