Lets see how you're gonna acquire Festaes.

not really that difficult, there's an LFS near my hometown that has em right now.

biggest problem I see on that list is the pacu is gonna get too big and isnt worth the risk of your tank getting cracked IMO and the extreme aggression of the average Dovii could be an isuse

tank won't crack it's not a traditional all glass tank and i know pacus get really big but i can always build a bigger tank (always) i scratched the dovi off my list but waht i'm really looking for is help adding to the list.

You might want to get some dither fish as well. Possibly a "fancy" pleco. The larger tetras will help the cichlids feel at home. Buenos Aires tetras might work, but a bigger species would be less likely to be eaten.

don't know much about tetras but i've kept most of the fish listed above with the exception of the dovii and the blue acara actually i don't even know what the blue acara is.

Festaes are around, thats all I hear. When someone post wanting Festaes none to be found, but lil bitty frys, regardless it depends on where you live too I guess. I've always known that things are easier said.

pisces in calgary alberta has had them every time i've been in checked in with some local breeders (the experts around here) not the lfs staff if they were true red terror (festae)and they said they were.
