Stock Idea - How does this sound?

Those tetra wont last long. 5 large aggressive fish is really really pushing it for a 75gal. Id imagine that it is possible until breeding presents itself. Then I would expect problems.

Definatly prepare for a filtration upgrade ASAP. Looks like your running a single Penguin bio-wheel or something of the likes. Thats only turning the water over about twice per hour. With 5 messy fish your water quality will certainly be poor.
With that many fish in that sized tank you'd really need to be moving about 700-800 gallons per hour to compete with the wastes. Id recommend a 55gal sump to increase the amount of water, plus excellent filtration. Or an AC 110 and a canister filter, But sumps have more advantages.

looks like a tiny filter but a 55 gallon sump for a 75 gallon tank???? I cannot see the reason to turn over a tank over 10x per hour......so you are saying a 120gallon needs two fx5's or the equivelant? That much filtration seems like a luxury!! Two words: water changes!

Rule of thumb is a minimum of 4x per hour, but 5 large cichlids are going to produce more waste than the charts designed for. The more water present, The slower the water gets contaminated. 5 large cichlids in a 75 is very overstocked. Many would suggest 1 Synspillum is maxing out a 75gal. So yes, I believe when you overstock, you have to at least double the waterflow to compete with the wastes. Im saying if you pack a 120gallon to the brim with fish you will need 2 FX5's or the equivalant. But probably not because FX5 are beastly which would turn a 120 about 9x per hour.
A 55gal sump will provide 130gal of water, plus with proper media, your biological filtration will to much much greater than any HOB could hold.

And as for the Synspoilum hes really small still and I consider this a growout for him because hes too small for the 130 gallon. You can see him in the second picture. It will probably be 1 Parrot, 1 Synspilum, and 1 Oscar in my 130 gallon.

As for tetras they are much larger than the even my largest parrots mouth. The one I lost is because it randomly died. I still have the other 6.

Parrots really aren't that aggressive.
