I have a 55g tank and I want to stock it with a few fish that will grow to make the tank look full and colorful.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

OH
and forgot to mention the set up is currently sand on the bottom with a few smooth rocks and a piece of arching driftwood in the middle (forgot the type).
Very simple set up

Definitely take your time and get some answers on here, it will save you some heartache in the long run. If you're dying to get something in there, just buy some neons or similar till you figure out where you're gonna go with it.

Not sure on your experience level, but Discus are very colorful. They are not a hardy fish and can be hard to keep.

I have never been a fan, but I met a breeder yesterday and his stock was amazing.

Thanks for that suggestion! I was looking at those today in the pet store. And I believe I have a friend who bred and raised discus. But I personally have never kept before.

From all I've read and been told, Discus are hard to keep. Be sure and read up on them and their requirements. I think they require extra water changes and filtration.
