From all I've read and been told, Discus are hard to keep. Be sure and read up on them and their requirements. I think they require extra water changes and filtration.

Yeah that's the only thing. Other than that I feel that they'd have amazing contribution. I need good lighting though.

as long as you keep up with water changes schedule, discus is the way to go !

I agree. If you read up and know what you're doing, Discus give you the most for the dollar. Gorgeous fish.

The adults are more a breeze than the juveniles that do require more maintenance to avoid stunting. Plenty of info on the first three sticky threads found here.

Hate to break the Discus streak but I vote for Pinoy Clowns or Paraibas. Mainly because I have been looking at adding some.

Haha. They seem to be a lot cheaper too. Or well what I'm finding are cheap compared to discus at my lfs
