Hey all..... i am setting up a new tank to fill a vacant place.... so i thought of building a 4ft tank... the footprint is 48"X18"X24" around 90G if i include the sump all together.... so here is what i want to have in there....

Green Terror 2
Severum 2
Firmouth 2

Clown Loach 4

all will be bought as juvies so that i can grow them out.... no worries with the sevs and loaches growing too big as i can place them in ma bigger tanks.... so what do yall think.... suggestions plz.... Thanks

Over stocked once all fully grown imo

like i mentioned in the post the sevs and loaches will be housed separately.... basically this is a GO for them and leave the GT and FM's in there.... then would that work?

Id go for a pair of GTs and some dithers etc. My breeding pair of GTs have great colours and great personalities. One of the more difficult SA's to breed but not inpossible.

I woould prob only have 1gt and would pesonaly get a salvini.

i have salvinis in my 100G... they are beautiful and have more character to them even more so than the GT's... i guess since i have them there i am gonna pass

i agree with the pair of GT and some dithers... what are my options? sd's would grow big and so will tinfoil barbs ova here i have the option of havin these... would having the clown loaches be a problem?

do clown loaches eat eggs? i think they would,if your goal is breeding, then no CL.you could try BA tetras,or rainbowfish, giant danios, tiger barbs

for dithers i would prefer giant danios.... for now i am not thinking of breeding the GT's cause they will be juvies and have other mature GT's which have already paired up, so this will be a long term thing in this tank.... as bottom dwellers i would prefer to have clown loaches cause i want to grow them out there so later i can shift it to the monster tank once it is set up....

so will i be able to house a pair of GT's or two male GT's, 1 FM, 1 severum and 4 loaches and few danios if need be...?

Clown loaches will tey and eat the eggs, but likely with no success. GT's are fantastic parents so i wouldn't worry too much.

Larger tetras, danios and thinks like tiger barbs make great dithers. So you could use anything like that really.

I wouldn't do two male GTs as they fight constantly, resulting in the weaker ones death. I have a pair of GTs with two pairs of cons, a FM, an RD and two O's in my 180 atm. For the time being they all get along fine. So the FM shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Just keep an eye on them and be prepared to move the FM should thinks get aggressive.
