Clown loaches will tey and eat the eggs, but likely with no success. GT's are fantastic parents so i wouldn't worry too much.

Larger tetras, danios and thinks like tiger barbs make great dithers. So you could use anything like that really.

I wouldn't do two male GTs as they fight constantly, resulting in the weaker ones death. I have a pair of GTs with two pairs of cons, a FM, an RD and two O's in my 180 atm. For the time being they all get along fine. So the FM shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Just keep an eye on them and be prepared to move the FM should thinks get aggressive.

considering the tank size i have come down to only a pair or GT... 2 pairs of clown loach and few dithers... wouldnt mind a FM to be there provided i get a goood specimen...

how big is ur RD? ive been thinking of getting one... but not for this tank... i have an 195 in that i have 6 O's, 4 Pacus, 1 Giant Gauramy, 1 Green Texas(one aggressive MOFO :D), 2 clarias catfish and 2 featherfin synos.... if need be i can take the Pacus out bring a RD of say 5"... not all in the tank have matured out yet...

Sounds like a good idea! The floor space isn't huge thats all. You will have to give it a try. My GTs only get really aggressive when protecting fry or eggs. Otherwise they are pretty placid.

My RD is only about 2", but full of personality. He follows my 5" oscar round all the time because he knows the oscar creates bite size pieces of food from his gills (meanwhile the oscar is thinking im'a eat you). So far he hasn't been aggressive at all. But from what i understand they become aggressive about the 5" mark. This is why i added mine last.

hahha that should b funny to see the 2" RD chase the O's... my O's already have the giant to deal with... if i can manage to get an even younger Rd would be better i guess.... i think i should be looking for a 2" RD just like yours....
