bought a yellow ballon ram today. fits nicely in the 12gal. I was hoping to get a pair but there was only one and I really liked it so now its in its new home with the guppies

i would suggest breeding convicts? since its just goin to be 2 fish an the babies would be feeders

You couldn't breed convicts with what you have in there, they would kill everything. Not to mention you may have issues in a 12 gallon when the convicts get bigger, not much place for the female to run away too...This is just what I have heard other people say.

12G would be risky for breeding cons. I lost a female of a breeding pair in a 29 when the male was ready to go and she wasn't.
