Also make sure you can use a treble hook like that. A lot of states you can't.

Try convincing Anyone I know that. Last fall all the fish started to die including all the 10+lb bass and giant carp and people were blaming some toxic runoff on it. The water is not healthy at all right now and everyone around here knows it

Well how did your fishing go?
Back in my days of using powerbait...when they swallowed the hook i would just cut the line. The hook will eventually rust out and the fish will be fine. This is a much better option that trying to pull the hook out. TIe a new one on and your back to fishing. While the fish is swimming off w/ a new piercing.

an old timer showed me his secret when i was trout fishing in arizona. He'd take day old pizza(the whole slice) and kneed it into dough balls and even add extra garlic. the trout couldn't resist it even the wild rainbows.
