Would a 60" x 24" x 25" be ok for a single male Dovii or is it too short?

60" is only 5'. IMO, that would be a little too small for a male dovii. I think the recommended length is 4x the length of the fish. For a Male dovii that would be a 6' tank minimum.

i have kept both dovii and peacocks before, and i'll tell you, male dovii will get to big for a 150 unless the footprint is alright, most 150's footprints are not wide enough for adult male dovii, and in some cases not long enough ethier, so no to male dovii, unless the footprint is at least 6'x21" which i doubt it is. and peacocks regardless of speices will all outgrow a 150 and very quickly at that. next aquaman, dovii and peacocks are cichlids. i'd say at most your Rd and mabey an FH, if there was no aggresion between the two which there most certainltly will be some of.
a 150 has a foot print larger than 72" x 21". A 6 foot 135 has 72" x 20". maybe a bit larger. I still wouldn't recommend a dovii for a 150 though. HUGE aggressive fish. Why not just get a Flowerhorn and grow him into a beast in that 150? Maybe put a cool pleco with him.

that would seem kind of weird to put a 12 inch fish by itself in a 150 wouldent it:confused:

How about two reddevil.

every 150 i have ever looked at was ethier 72"x18" or 5'x2', ethier way there 2 small, find me a 150 with a 72"x 20" or larger footprint that is normally manufactued and i'll believe you. And a 72"x 21" footprint would be fine for a single male dovii, find me a male dovii over 20"-22" in a normally grown aquarium. because there are none.

also, 60" is not enough length for a single male, they are very active fish, regardless of size. and 5' is not enough.

Talk to REC he has had His male dovii in his Smaller large tank for at least a year now:) Talk to him... Pm him..

You will ultimately need to upgrade . But if you are not buyin a 1-2 foot Dovii right now then you should be ok for a while.
