I am ordering a 5 ft 400lt (100 us gal) next month, after some stocking ideas.
My thoughts so far in order of preference.
Chiapaheros grammodes
Rheoheros lentiginosus
Caquetaia myersi
Trichromis salvini
Nandopsis tetracanthus
Herichthys cyanoguttatus
Thorichthys sp

Top three pairs are my favourites at the moment but all opinions welcome

Mine are still quite small but I find them fascinating.
They seem different somehow to most other centrals I've kept.
I think they would look great in a rocky species tank.
I've yet to witness them in spawning dress but it's supposed to be quite a sight.
They can be found in the wild with thorichthys helleri and the two go well together.

Been thinking, at the moment narrowed it down to the lents or grammodes,

Grammodes are one of my favorite fish but be wary, when they eventually get big, they probably won't let anything else in there even dithers, etc. That's been my experience at least. and I would have another tank on standby for the female if the male gets too wild. If it were me, I'd do the lent's and then put some wild type livebearers and other little guys to make it more of a rounded biotope.

Thanks for the heads up, if I go with the grammodes it will be a pair only tank. Lents would be sensible choice, but I do like grammodes

Yeah the grammodes sure are awesome looking. Do you have a source for lent's by the way? I havent seen them around in a long time and wouldnt mind picking up a couple if a supplier has them right now

I am in the UK, the supplier I normally get my fish from is confident he can get lents from a German breeder. He is doing a cota order after thank giving and looking through there stock list they have grammodes in, so I need to make my mind up by Wednesday
