How about Vieja regani?

I love regani but read that its hit or miss aggression wise.

Finally heard back about the bocourti looks like I can get them at 2 inch.

So far my son likes the bocourti and the choc.

Do female bocourti look as good as the males ? also Ive seen pics of them with the black bars and without. Is that just genetics or different collection points

When young, bocourti are a bit pale, and tend to darken with age. Mine didn't start to color up until around 6", and are all 6-8" now, and at this point I still can't tell one gender from another.
They also vary with mood, and I find seem to look best when I feed high vitamin algae foods and fresh veggies.

So are bocourtis. This applies pretty much to all cichlids. Like I already mentioned, my bocourti is a punk in a tank full of CAs while my regani is mellow

I guess I got a good crop. Both of mine were full on yellow/orange when I got them at about 2.5"

These bocourti are damn jard to get unless I wanna pay the over the top minimum order fees.
A 18 wide tank would be to small for a pearsei right ?
